The Course
The course is a flat, scenic route through a historic military compound that is closed to traffic. Both the marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified for national race qualification.
The Location
The race takes place on the grounds of a once secret military munitions compound, which supplied our military with explosives to help the United States win peace for the world during WW2. Our venue was then used to store many other military weapons throughout the early and mid 1900s. Now the Vermillion Rise Mega Park which has been repurposed for local industry retains many remnants and evidence of Military ruins and manufacturing facilities!
